Health Insurance
Health insurance benefits for Carroll County Schools employees are offered through the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP), established by the Georgia legislature. There are three health plan carriers available to employees and their families: Anthem, UnitedHealthcare (UHC), and Kaiser Permanente.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) allow you to set aside pre-tax funds from your paycheck that are placed into a special account to pay for eligible healthcare and dependent day care expenses.
Dental Insurance
Dental Insurance is designed to offer you coverage for preventative dental care services and to help you budget for common dental care issues.
Vision Insurance
Whether your vision is 20/20 or less than perfect, you can help protect your eyesight by visiting an eye doctor regularly.
Life Insurance
Life Insurance can help provide financial protection for your family if you pass away. The money received from a life insurance policy could help your family with both everyday and future expenses, including medical bills, funeral costs, utilities, college tuition, and mortgage payments.
Disability Insurance
Conditions that can trigger Short Term Disability are usually temporary in nature, such as pregnancy, broken bones, sprains, or minor surgery. Long Term Disability is most often used in situations of a catastrophic injury or illness.
Supplemental Health Insurance
Accident Insurance can help offset unexpected medical deductibles and co-pays, and cover household expenses like groceries, mortgage payments and childcare. Critical Illness insurance pays a lump sum benefit upon the diagnosis of a named critical condition or certain category of diseases. Cancer Insurance pays monetary benefits to you and your family based on the treatments related to a covered cancer diagnosis.
